OH what a night!!

As many of you may know, because I've been complaining about for a year now, we are having problems with our basement flooding. We weren't exactly sure how to remedy to situation without causing too many issues. Last weekend two of our friends in our ward came over to give us their suggestions on how to fix the problems. They told us it would take A LOT of digging. Bristol and I have been digging up the backyard for what seems like forever. I am just not that much help to him. I try but we just haven't gotten that much dug out. Last night, some amazing friends showed up and truly were an answer to our prayers. They dug in the mud and dirt of our yard for hours. The pictures don't do the hole justice. The long ditch in about 3 feet deep. and the main hole is 6 or 7 feet deep. The long trench run along the perimeter of the fence. The hole at the end of the ditch looks like a swimming pool. I think it would be a great place for a jacuzzi. Thank you so much to all the wonderful friends we have we could not have gotten this far without your help. When I got into bed last night I just cried, I was so grateful to my Heavenly Father for such kind people. I know miracles happen through the help of others.

Yes that is our Bishop and his counselor in our backyard

Well at least I know where my husband was last night!:) It's usually how I keep tabs on him, finding out from someone else! I am happy that some of the problem looks like it's being remedied. I know how stressful home projects are and how if you just had a little more time and a little more money...

That hole is impressive. I'm glad they did it before the crazy rain. I hope it helped.

I hope you get it COMPLETED before the real rain starts! Let us know, I'll send my hubby over again! :-)

You could make a rain garden out of the spot; they are the latest craze in landscaping... You plant the low spot in your property with more water loving plants.

Fishing in Herriman

Fishing in Herriman
Kaley's big one. Kaley didn't have the patience to cast and wait for the fish to bite. I'm not sure how she managed to leave the pole in the water long enough to catch anything.

Kristyn fishing (kind of)

Kristyn fishing (kind of)
I think Kristyn would rather sit back and relax, and stay as far away from the fish as possible

Sydney' fish

Sydney' fish
Sydney was getting tired of fishing so she was reeling in the line to pack up and go home. She couldn't beleive it that there was a fish attached to the end of the pole

Blayne was ready for fishing before anyone

Blayne is quite the fishing pro. He has his own spiderman pole and his fishing hat.
